CMHA/Peel Dufferin is looking for a Relief Peer Support Workers for Recovery West\ RW Drop-In to coordinate and develop program operations and activities in Recovery West\ RW Drop in.
The role involves work primarily evenings and weekends at the Drop-in, but sometimes requests could be for during the daytime, Monday – Friday. As this is a Relief position, regular hours per week are not guaranteed.
The Recovery West Drop-in is a Peer Support program that supports people living with mental illness and/or addictions. The program offers groups such as Depression, Anxiety and Hearing Voices. The program also offers activities such as crafts, movie night and outings. The key component of the Drop-in is the open, social atmosphere where members can make connections to others in recovery.
The Recovery West program promotes Mental Health Recovery through groups, activities and vocational services with a focus on peer support. The groups include Recovery Chat, Addictions, Self-Injury, WRAP, Seeking Safety and more. Recovery West activities include: outings, movie afternoons, crafts, cooking and baking; Vocational staff in the Career Centre support clients with vocational goals and Transitional Employment opportunities.
Pay band is $20.00 per hour - $25.13 per hour
